Your Hands On Experience
- Week 1: You’ll learn the basics, such as setting up for the dentists, taking X-rays, etc.
- Week 2: You’ll learn more complicated assistant tasks, such as preparing for fillings.
- Week 3: You’ll learn some of the skills that you will need to support your dentist for restorative dentistry.
- Week 4: You’ll learn CPR (yes, you get a CPR license) and lifesaving skills you need in the dental field.
- Week 5: You’ll start learning the skills you need to support your dentist in implant dentistry!
- Week 6: You’ll get hands on experience in dental surgery support, involving training with Dr. Turley.
- After your 6 weeks of training, you’ll get set up for your externship.
What Is a Dental Externship?
You’ll get some hands on training in the real world. We’ll help put you in a local Renton dental clinic where you will be able to spend some time getting real world experience. This lets you get references so that you can find a job fast after graduation.
